Marriage

The matrimonial covenant, by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership of the whole of life, is by its nature, ordered toward the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring; this covenant between baptized persons has been raised by Christ the Lord to the dignity of a sacrament.

Getting Married in our Parishes

  1. The bride or groom or their parents must be registered members of one of the four Waukesha parishes.

  2. In planning your wedding, the first thing to secure would be the priest/ deacon and church before planning any of the other wedding/reception details.

  3. Once the date is set, the priest or deacon will contact the couple and the marriage preparation begins.

  4. Engaged couples attend an Enrichment Program offered through the Adult and Family Ministry Office of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.

  5. Couples will meet with a FOCCUS (Facilitation Open Couple Communication, Understanding & Study) couple to take and discuss the FOCCUS inventory.

  6. Couples should contact Bob Gallagher, Director of Liturgy and Music, at 262-922-9285 x 2101 or email bgallagher@ccwauk.org to make arrangements for the music played and sung at the liturgy.
